Introduction
I bought a new guitar, it’s a Fender Custom Player 60’s.

Its a mexican Fender stratocaster. The pickups are the famous “custom 69″, as all the pickups are singlecoil pickups, they generate noise (buzz ou hum).
After several search on the web, I saw that many people met this noise problem and not only on this model. For example this long post talking about noise issues with several Custom player guitar from Fender.
I read several articles on the shield of guitar pickups, but since now I had not a such noise issue with my previous guitars so I never tried . But now with this guitar is becomin unbereable so I realize this customization.
A very good articile on this subject is here : http://www.guitarnuts.com/wiring/shielding/shield3.php
Dismantling
First we have to remove all the strings (on the neck side only).
After we have to remove the pickgard (a lot of small screws).

To shield the guitar I used roll of adhesive copper, several width exist , I took the 30mm width.
After some patience the final result looks like:

We have to take to exceed the copper above the cavities, this to allow the electrical contact between the copper arround the pickups and the pickgard.
We have to verify that all copper part are electrically connected , in fact some adhesive can bring some electrical issues. In this case some welding are necessary between the different copper parts.
I took the opportuny to have the pickgard removed to replace the both jack wire to use a shieded wire.
Now we have to cover all the pickgard with the copper, this part is more easy because the surface is flat. The result looks like:

Now we have to setup the pickgard and the strings..
Incredible I have now less noise when I play with this shielded guitar.
